Day 1: Arrive at Cochin and head to Munnar (4 – 5 hrs. Journey)
Arrive at Cochin airport in the morning from where we’ll start our journey to Munnar – a beautiful hill station situated 1800 mtr above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mtr). Enroute we’ll visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls and Tea Plantations.
On arrival at Munnar, check in at the hotel. After some leisure, we’ll head to visit the Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park – open as per the directions by the forest authorities), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hilarious) – the mountain goat of South India followed by Tea Museum. Return to hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 2: Local sight-seeing in Munnar
Wake up lazy morning. After breakfast, we’ll proceed for local sightseeing including Maduppatty Dam, Echo Point, Kundalay Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, and Blossom Park etc. In evening, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Note: Eravikulam National Park is closed during FEB & MAR every year due to breeding period.

Tea Museum – 10:00 hrs. – 16:30 hrs.Mattuppetty Dam – 09:30 hrs. – 15:00 hrs.
Day 3: Head to Thekkady (3 – 4 hrs. Journey)
After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Thekkday. Upon arrival there, check intothe hotel and have lunch (personal expense).In the afternoon, proceed for a boat cruise at Periyar Lake in Thekkday (Direct payment), which is synonymous with wildlife and nature treks. Later in the evening, visit the theatre (non air- conditioned) to have a firsthand experience of arts and crafts through the traditional Kalari Show. After that, you can either shop in the local market or opt for an Elephant ride (on direct payment basis) in the evening. Return to the hotel in the evening.
- Periyar National Park – Periyar National Park is the most important reserve of Southern India which is an important Tiger and Elephant habitat. Rich in flora and fauna, the national park is a feast for all those who love nature and wildlife more than people. Enjoy a walk in the nature bliss which lies untouched by the human disturbances. Look out for the ambush of tigers and herd of elephants playing in the lake. It could be a sight that you will behold in your heart for a long time. The principle attraction of the national remains the Periyar Lake spread in the area of 25sq km that surrounds the national park. This is where you can enjoy the elephants playing in the water or the tigers on the bank quenching their thirst.
- Elephant ride- When you are at Periyar National Park, a mere sight of the elephant isn’t just enough to make your trip worthwhile. Enjoy the elephant ride hitching slowly in his habitat. If you think that’s enough the mighty creature will further surprise you with its Trunk on your head giving you blessings or you could just enjoy the bath with the elephants in nature’s Jacuzzi.
- Kalari show- Thekkday is full of surprises. When you have had enough of wildlife, it will offer you its culture, rising up your interest again. Kalari or Kalaripayattu is one of the major contributions India has given to the world. Kalari is an ancient form of Martial art which originated in South India and is still a popular art of Kerala. Do not miss this culture.
Day 4: Head to Alleppey (3 – 4 hrs. Journey)
Check-out the hotel after breakfast and we’ll continue towards Alleppey. Reach Alleppey in the afternoon and check-in at the Hotel. You can enjoy the boating in backwater and have your meals in the houseboat (on your own). Overnight stay in the hotel.
AC Deluxe Houseboat Details (Alleppey) –
v Check in Time: 12:00 noon and Checkout time: 09:00 A.M.
v Houseboats are for exclusive usage and not shared.
v Houseboats are accompanied by navigator and cook.
v Meal plan – start with Lunch and ends with Breakfast (Typical Kerala Cuisine, if you require any other cuisine inform us in advance. If it will be on chargeable basis and client has to bear the extra charges.
v From 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M., houseboat will be stationed, and cruise will start again at 8:00 A.M.
v A.C. Houseboats – A.C. is operational only from 9:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. (if you require 24 hour AC, it will be chargeable extra)
v The cruise commences at 12:30 hrs. With lunch served on board and continues till dusk. At dusk, the boat will anchor in a wide waterway or lake for the night (The backwaters close to boat traffic at dusk as the fisherman lay their nets in the backwaters. Other boats are not
allowed to ply in the backwaters after dusk. On the following day the cruise commences again after breakfast and the guest will be dropped at Alleppey by 0900 hrs. Overnight stay in the House Boat.
v Since houseboats are stationed in the bank of the backwater during the night, the problem of mosquito and water borne insects do come up hence you are kindly requested to carry mosquito and insect repellent along with you.
v The choice of food in the houseboat is very limited and mostly basic south Indian meal is served.
v The quality of the houseboat cannot be compared with the quality of the rooms in the hotel where the guest is staying. The rooms are basic and small.
The main concept of the houseboat is to explore the backwater beauty of the region at the closet to the nature.
Day 5: Head to Kovalam (4-5 hrs. Journey)
Have a scrumptious breakfast served at the houseboat. Check-out and we’ll continue our journey to Kovalam in private vehicle. Enroute take halt at Trivandrum to fill your appetite at a good restaurant. Now we’ll head to visit Napier Museum and zoological park – enjoy a walk through the lush green zoo (Closed on Mondays). Reach Kovalam in the evening. Check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6: Day Excursion at Kovalam
After breakfast, enjoy the day excursion tour of Kovalm – spend your time exploring the beaches including Hawa beach, Light beach and some local places. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 7: Drop at Trivandrum Airport – Back to home
Check out the hotel after breakfast and you’ll be transferred to Trivandrum airport to board the flight back to home.
